These free printable coloring sheets can help you teach the amazing animal kingdom to your older kids, such as the difference between a mammal and an amphibian (fish). Younger kids can learn color theory while having fun creating scenes with these animal coloring pages. Perhaps they have already colored many domestic dog and cat pictures and feel ready for more complex felines. A cheetah coloring book certainly provides that since these animals feature many spots on their bodies and each one has a slightly different shape. Use black and various shades of gray to color these spots. Their main body color is a bright orange with tones of gold and yellow.

These cheetah printable pages let your child have fun while learning about the fastest land animal, the cheetah. The lion may rule the jungle, but the cheetah can outrun him. You might find cheetah coloring pages with both animals on them. This provides an opportunity to teach the various colors of these jungle animals by looking at a website or reading a book. You could also make a field trip to the zoo.

You might find zoo-themed coloring page websites, too. These might have more challenging pictures to color since the cheetah might appear with a tiger on a zebra coloring sheet. Coloring pages such as this require a large and diverse set of crayons or colored pens or pencils. You would need lots of white and black to color the zebra, while the lion would require a light tan with a few shades of gold metallics without shine to them.

Some cute cheetah and tiger coloring pages might show the animals in an atypical sitting posture since many are cartoons. Coloring pages of a baby cheetah or cheetah cub playing with its jungle friends, or a zoo animal may require research. The fur on a cheetah’s stomach usually comes in white and rather downy. You might swirl it as you color this fur to provide it the texture of fluffy kitten fur. These free printable coloring pages provide more than just kids coloring pictures.

Also, check photos of the jungle to learn about the various plants there. You might have vines or trees in the picture of dark or bright greens. Some may show flowers of exotic colors or unique shapes.

You can find a big cat coloring book online or print individual coloring pages to explore the fastest animal, the largest animal, the king of the jungle, and other superlatives of the feline family. Coloring pictures for older children might show the cheetah with its prey, such as deer. You can color the smaller animal according to photos. If these show the big cat pouncing, then you can draw in the movement lines, too.

With Halloween upcoming, you might want to create costumes. Consider printing cheetah mask pages and coloring the cheetah’s face to make an original mask. You can laminate it, then use a hole punch to create two holes, one on either side, to tie a string through. This lets you keep the mask in place on your face without needing to hold it. While you might like to color with colored pencil sets, for these masks a set of oil pastel sticks work best. You can easily blend them with a stomp.

These cheetah coloring pictures let you color a wild cat with great diversity in its fur. You can print one of these cheetah coloring page projects onto graph paper to create a cross stitch pattern of it. This lets older children and teens cross stich the cheetah onto aida cloth or another medium.

Some of these printables provide worksheets to learn more about the animals pictured. You can print instructions on drawing a cheetah or leopard with printable picture guidelines. These coloring pages provide a jump start to learning about jungle and zoo animals.
